Rainbow Ranch Wedding Big Sky Montana

It was a rainy day for their Rainbow Ranch wedding but what a beautiful day it was! Colten and Reyna picked some of the best vendors for their beauiful and sophisticated event.  The bride squad was so on point, and I loved the wine colored dresses. Also, can I just say here, if you are getting married in a cooler month like the end of September consider a dress with sleeves. It was so elegant and summer brides usually don’t get that opportunity. Colten and his boys were a blast, some people make my job so easy. They picked the Rainbow Ranch for their ceremony and reception and this place never disappoints. Kimberly, of Gather in Montana did a wonderful job or planning the day and keeping things moving along. If you are considering a planner I highly recommend it for so many reasons but one big one is having someone there the day of to keep things moving. If there isn’t a person in charge of it sometimes people just don’t know what to do. Then they start asking me but I am there to document and help but not to move everything along. Or they start asking the couple and jeez, they don’t even have a watch on most of the time! Planners are there to help coordinate all the vendors, problem solve and loan rain jackets to photographers! : ) My jacket was in my car and it really started pouring! They notice little things like: the bride has no drink!, the music is too loud, there is no lighter for the sparklers!, where is the champagne?! I COULD GO ON AND ON. These people are awesome and I would highly recommend Kimberly.

Rainbow Ranch Wedding

I love photographing the little details on wedding days. Sometimes we have to search around like total snoops looking for the special little things from your wedding day. Asking the guys were the cufflinks are, where is your jewelry? Reyna had something unique and special – little Mexican dolls – a man and a woman that she pinned to her bouquet. When I asked her more about it she mentioned they looked like her and Colten. Heart melting. Reyna also had a gift for her dad when he came to visit her and see her all dressed up. It was so sweet, it was a handkerchief that was hand embroidered. The moment was so sweet and full of tears. I chose not to include those photos as somethings are so personal and I want to respect that moment. Thanks you so much to the rad team who worked together on this wedding!
