Paradise Valley Engagement in Livingston, Montana

This day was the best! Preview of our Paradise Valley Engagement session

Congrats Cortney + Robert!!

There is more than one Paradise Valley in world but for this one, I mean the little slice of heaven that is the area between Livingston, Montana to Gardner, one of the entrances into Yellowstone Park. The phenomenal Yellowstone River runs through this valley  flanked by the Absaroka Range on the east and the Gallatin Range on the west. The area is not only beautiful but truly an awesome place for fishing, rafting and hiking. Martin and I love our summer days in our raft hitting that section of the river! the area is only 30-40 minutes from Bozeman makes it pretty easy for me to shoot weddings, elopements and engagement sessions in this area. And I know some great spots!

My sessions are usually 90 minutes and include several gorgeous locations and outfit changes if you want. We can really do anything from including your furry friends to going fishing, maybe you want to drink a local craft brew at sunset. Let’s do it. The more your session is about the two of you and what you love, the better the photos will be. I really love storytelling and that involves more candid portraits and having ya’ll do something while we take photos. If we aren’t doing a specific activity like fishing or popping some champs I usually give my couples some actions to take – walk down the road like you are strolling on your first date, whisper in your partners ear. This things all lead to some great portraits that aren’t as stuffy as just standing there smiling at me. For me it is all about the connection between the two of you!
